Is Lunar Masonry Code a lunar base design?
No. LMC certifies material products and assemblies. It does not approve an entire habitat, pressure vessel, or base architecture.
Can a supplier start before full lab testing?
Yes. The intake starts with classification and evidence gaps. Final certification requires MineSpace review and accepted test evidence.
Why is dust release part of the standard?
A material can be strong and still be operationally bad if it sheds hazardous fines. Dust behavior is treated as a first-class certification signal.
Can oxygen-extraction byproducts enter the code?
Yes. LMC-005 is for slag, glass, reduced regolith, oxide residues, and ISRU outputs that may become construction feedstock.
